JLN-3150E 100% degradable reinforced water-activated tape is an environmentally friendly product. Its backing material and Adhesive are non-polluting and can be recycled along with the packaging materials. It is mainly used as a sustainable alternative to pressure-sensitive Adhesive tapes for carton sealing applications.

JLN-3150E is a fully biodegradable reinforced water activated tape engineered for circular economy packaging systems. The product combines compostable kraft paper backing with Starch Adhesive and natural plant Yarn reinforcement. This tape delivers industrial-grade sealing performance while ensuring complete biological degradation in certified composting environments.
The tape integrates natural plant fiber filaments within the kraft paper matrix, replacing synthetic reinforcement materials. The plant fiber network provides reliable tensile performance during transit, then fully biodegrades alongside the carton in industrial composting facilities.
Unlike traditional plastic tape, this tape is fully recyclable and compostable. Packaging sealed with this tape can proceed directly into organic waste treatment or standard cardboard recycling processes without prior sorting. This reduces sorting labor costs and supports businesses in achieving their commitment to zero waste to landfills.
Upon water activation, the starch adhesive penetrates into the corrugated cardboard substrate fibers, achieving a strength exceeding the tear strength of the carton surface. Any removal attempt leaves visible fiber damage, providing inherent evidence of tamper-proof bonding. Bonding stability has been validated across a logistics environment ranging from -10°C to 50°C.
Compatible with manual water-activated tape dispensers, electric water-activated tape dispensers, and automatic water-activated tape sealing machines without requiring hardware replacement. Controlled hydration ensures continuous adhesive activation while minimizing water consumption. This bio-adhesive exhibits reliable wetting properties on recycled paper or lightly contaminated paper surfaces, where synthetic adhesives may perform poorly.
