That is exactly why we created the JLN-28160.   The Best of Both Worlds   The JLN-28160 is a Reinforced Self-Adhesive Kraft Paper Tape.   Think of it as the ultimate hybrid. We took the heavy-duty "skeleton" of our water-activated tapes—the fiberglass reinforcement—and combined it with a pressure-sensitive Hot Melt adhesive.   This means you get the classic, secure look of a reinforced paper tape, complete with that criss-cross fiberglass grid, but you do not need a drop of water to make it stick. You can load this roll onto a standard handheld tape gun, pull it, cut it, and slap it on a box just like you would with cheap plastic tape.   Let’s Look Under the Hood   Don't let the convenience fool you; this is not a lightweight tape. We categorize the JLN-28160 as Medium Duty.   If you look closely at the specs, it features a robust double-layer kraft paper backing (40 g/m² on top, 40 g/m² on the bottom). Woven inside that paper sandwich is a fiberglass reinforcement grid. This gives the tape a massive tensile strength of 200 N/25mm (45 lbs/in). To put that in plain English: if a heavy box shifts or drops during transit, the fiberglass absorbs that shock so the tape doesn't snap.   Furthermore, the Hot Melt adhesive provides an aggressive initial tack (90 oz/in peel adhesion). The moment you press it onto the corrugated carton, it grabs hold and refuses to let go.   Who is the JLN-28160 Built For?   Mobile Packing Stations: If your team needs to walk the aisles and seal boxes on the go, dragging a water dispenser around is impossible.
